People have this mindset that if someone's accent is different then they are annoying.
Kinda going off topic but it's related to my statement. Me and my friend were on lfg looking for 4 more people to do VoG hard. 4 people joined and from the looks of it they looked like friends. My friend has a thick accent and it may sound funny sometimes. But that is no reason to continuously tease him about it. 2 of those people kept on teasing him throughout the raid. I don't know how we managed to finish the raid but as soon as we did I immediately quit from the team. Later I could hear my friend crying. I've never been so mad in my life. Later one of those guys, who wasn't teasing him, sent us a message apologising about their friends behaviour.

Sorry for the rant. I didn't know where else to put it.

That is really bad shit right there. My brother and I are Scottish with quite deep brogues. When we drink and play destiny it can be really difficult for the rest of the fire team to understand us. I get mocked all the time for it, it doesn't bother me too much because I know if I turn on my Sean Connery their wife's get wet ;) Tell your friend its all good man. There's some seriously messed up people in this game, but the majority of them are good people. The problem is finding the right ones you want to spend time with.

Thanks for the support. Yeah I told him to just ignore those people since he got a mythoclast and a gjallarhorn and they got nothing. Karma is really a bitch.

I personally just can't stand the accent when I can watch people I understand just as easily. I would never go after someone like people did to your friend though. In that situation he would be my teammate and you never can be an asshole to a teammate unless they're an asshole to someone else.
