Kinda, with IRON BANNER when it is running you can hit rank 5 in iron banner and rank 3 in crucible at the SAME time an then pick up 100 crucible marks an 2x legendary with glimmer from IB this means you can go from level 20 (rare gear load) to level 33.5 (3-4 legendaries 2x e lights from iron banner, an 1 legendary crucible or vanguard gear from vendors an get exotic an shard from xur that weekend) in ONE iron banner event.
