Won't the Gjally nerf backfire?

Now with Gjally's wolfpack rounds getting nerfed and its effectivity reduced. I've thought about something: won't most people want even more people with a gjally after the nerf? Before, few people would accept others without it because they already had enough firepower to deal with the objective. After the nerf have been applied, I believe the it will only promote even more elitism amongst the already toxicated player base. Everytime I visit the LFG forums a lot of the post contain a "must have gjally" requirement. By nerfing the wolfpack rounds, people will feel the need to only accept gjallys to accumulate for the nerf introduced, thus resulting a backfire to this nerf's original intent. To eliminate exclusivity. Any thoughts? Edit 1: To admit, I've never owned a Gjally before and I've played since day one. I have already had much trouble trying to get into a raid or PoE team. Edit 2: Better formulated the op.

The longer Bungie takes to nerf Gjallarhorn the worse the elitist situation will get. Before Gjallarhorn became widespread, experienced raiders were forced to teach newer players the raid mechanics. People were forced to learn how to carry their own weight. But when gjallarhorn became more widespread, -blam!-ing entitled shits felt that they could go into a raid with lousy equipment and zero knowledge and still complete it because others were carrying them with Gjallarhorn. The road to hell is paved with good intentions. While many felt they were "helping" people by carrying them through raids with Gjallarhorn, what that actually did was breed a generation of shitty raiders and a "carrying" culture. People demand gjallarhorn because they can't expect reliable raiders anymore. You don't need Gjallarhorn for any of the raids. Atheon is downed in two runs with a team using half-decent legendary snipers. Crota kneels with 4 shots from maxed blue rockets. It has become a crutch and people are leaning so heavily on it that they'll collapse when it gets cut down.
