You can delete the game but as long as you don't delete your characters they will still be there for you later if you decide to come back. Honestly sometimes deleting the game is the only way to get away from it as this game does have some very addictive qualities to it despite being a rather lackluster game. You can play through the Mass Effect trilogy several times and it is different each time so I would suggest doing that again. I've played through the first ME three times and found sidequests I missed the first 2 times despite spending 40-50 hours per playthrough. The 2nd Mass Effect has amazing replay value with all the different relationships and ways it can play out with the suicide mission, etc. Honestly just try to take a few days off from the game. I used to play non-stop but then I basically just quit playing and would make plans with friends or to go to the gym and do other stuff during my normal play hours when I got home from work. After you take a few days off from it and maybe try some other games it is much easier to stay away. I'm at a point now where I hardly think about the game and only get on once a week to run the weekly strike for some coins to see if Xur has anything of interest. I can basically get my full week of Destiny done in one night now and then move on to other games and other stuff.
