Nerfs are the laziest method of so called game balancing. Also the most upsetting. Good game design is not achieved by sh*tting on the content people love, simply because some people have the item and some don't. The fact that some items are so cherished and sought after means you designed it right! Make all the weapons awesome in their own way and then you will have balanced usage.
