I hadn't heard that from any official source, Bungie specifically did not tell us how big the nerf was. Granted even if it is 50% gally will still out damage all other rockets (excepting ideal circumstances with dragons breath). I just hope that the difference is no longer enough to force using only one weapon for all encounters.
