The point is that you still don't have to reload. So you can sink 18+ rounds into an enemy without slowing down. Then under the extremely rare circumstance that you have run out of ammo and there are no special ammo blocks laying around you can always use a special ammo synth.

But why stop if your on a roll the most consecutive shot i have done was on septkis prime at a miraculous 23 before I missed now I'm only limited to 18 it sounds petty but i like breaking the limits and pushing myself.

Were you standing in exactly the same spot for all 23 of those shot? I imagine that you probably were not. So in the process of moving to a better location so that you can continue to get precision hits you likely walked over a couple special ammo blocks which would have filled your ammo back up. The way black hammer is now it functions as an exotic without actually being one. It is basically an exotic weapon that you can equip with another exotic. That should not be the case. So changing it in this way moves it back into the realm of legendary. It will still be one of the best sniper rifles.

Well if you must know we entered the boss fight killed the fallen then moved to the upper stairs to the left i had the other two of my fireteam guard the stairs grooms shanks and i hid behind the obstacle up there and and laid waste to him. However I will still use the sniper now i just have to be more conscious of my ammo. I just don't like the change if a good thing. Nice chat. ..
