Yup, agreed. We'll be fine, we don't complain and whine. This post isn't whining. The nerf will lead to more elitist behavior in our community, which will destroy it even more.

Oh, I know what you're worried about. I've already seen four posts about people doing what you're talking about out of spite.

Scroll through this post. Bungie hit the core players, they will go extreme for no reason now. Newbies won't be able to finish a raid, which is a shame, because they are great fun.

Hopefully, we can steer them toward help. I've recently been decent at coaching through Arena Challenges and the Vault.
