I see the logic, but the thing is weapons like hezen vengence and hunger of crota will be more viable options now. I see the Ghorn nerf as forcing us to expand our options.. And try strategies and weapons that we otherwise wouldn't. I'm actually pleased with their decision considering they're attempting to even out the playing field for players who don't have a Ghorn, making those players more useful in raids, poe, strikes, etc.
Dragons Breath does the second most dps now! (Behind Hezen Vengence) Time to dust off the sunbreakers..

Sunbreakers dont affect the duration of the solar flare caused by dragons breath.

I fun to use them in combination for area denial though, and it's fun to believe!

It won't force us into expanding pur horizons (or those who rely on Gjallarhorn, I should day). The simple remedy to "must have gjallarhorn" is... unfortunately more Gjallarhorns at this point with the nerf. Lets use crota as an example (though irrelevant now). It use to take 2 shots from gjallarhorn on normal and three from hard (making an lfg minded person believe a minimum 2 and 3 respectively is needed). Nerfing it then make that person think "well now we need 3 and 4 respectively." That eliminates an extra person from each raid party across the board who doesn't have a gjallarhorn.

Or could make them think.. Hey! I can solve problems of DPS with an icebreaker..? Hunger of Crota?.. Even corrective measure?.. Wow look at all the possibilities!
-
If they weren't thinking that way before, no way in hell will those close minded backyards think that way now.

I hope you're right bro, but I don't think this will hold up.
