I see threads on here day in day out about how Destiny is a complete flop and that Bungie are gonna have to dump this series and move on to something else because it is so unpopular.
Yet when you look objectively at the criteria for a successful game, Destiny is one of the most successful new ips in recent memory, in February it already had 16 million registered users. In comparison, Watch Dogs (another successful new ip), which had similar hype to Destiny, had only sold 10 million by the end of 2014.
In case you need any more proof of Destiny's success, log on to your XB1 (if you're one of the few who has one) and look at the 'top games right now'. It is guaranteed that Destiny will be in the top 5, it's usually top 3 and ahead of Advanced Warfare. MS's flagship franchise Halo rarely even appears in the top 10.
To summarise, the rabid Destiny haters on this forum need to give themselves a reality check and stop making themselves look stupid. Your personal opinion on the quality of the game has no bearing on its overall success.

It's incredibly financially successful, and has done well with its marketing program. It's also an easy game to pick up and play, but it gets old a tad quickly which is unfortunate because it has very good mechanics. For me, I personally don't like the weekly caps they do, but to each their own. And although is has been financially successfully does not equate to everyone being happy with the content they were given and the way future content is being doled out by Activision and bungie
