Nerfing Gjallarhorn will lead to extreme elitism
Bungie nerfs Gjally, Gjally still reigns supreme.
Gjally does less DPS, so it'll become more relevant, since everyone in your fireteam will need one to output as much DPS as possible.
More and more posts with Gjally only will emerge on LFG.

18 RepliesIf Bungie were really that bothered about players who insisted on team members having a gally then the simplest solution would've been to have Xur sell it. Instead, they use the selfish actions of a minority of players to justify a totally unnecessary nerf. Previously I've never cared whether someone has a gally or not, but seeing as Bungie are treating the entire community like recalcitrant children I'm going to act like one and refuse to play with / help out anyone who doesn't have a fully maxed gally as a matter of principle.

Using something with tripod like dragons breath or truth will become acceptable because they won't be doing half the damage that gally does. Plus now it won't be so necessary to use your exotic slot on a heavy weapon. Maybe people will realize finally that a gally is [b]not[/b] the best weapon to use in crota, but red death is (to combat Crotas presence modifier) TL;DR: It used to be that players without gallys did [b]far less[/b] damage than those with gallys. Now that gap won't be so big, so gally won't be such a firm requirement.

So i have a gally for every character....earned mine too. But im not gonna hate on a buddy cuz he still doesnt have one. Am i pissed about the nerf? Hell yes.....but hey you cant please everyone. Lesson learned......stop thinking that gjallorhorn makes the player and start realizing that in reality its a crutch for lack of skill. Truth be told.....my goal is the hunger of crota anyway....

6 RepliesIm sorry but what is happening right now? I have a Ghorn on the xbone but on playstation I dont. I couldnt find A SINGLE GROUP who would raid with me on VoG OR Crota. I am a level 28 sure, but they ALL said "Must have Ghorn". Stop being mad. Get over it. IT WILL NOT BE AS BAD AS YOU THINK.

Lets say that with the Truth hitting 6 rockets is the same amount of time it takes to hit 4 Gjallarhorn shots. Better tracking...much higher impact. I think the posts will change to must have Truth.

1 ReplyIt will only lead to that if people act like children. The idea is that for a little less damage you can use other loadouts and perks. Also, gating content. If you didn't see the issue with that chart, I don't understand how you enjoy the game doing the same content relying on the same rockets synth rockets method. It's hardly playing the content.

4 RepliesThen it would get nerfed further because people are lazy and also forgetting Bungie's intent was to stop gating content and to prevent the spam of G-horn. If people's answer is spam harder then you'd just justify another nerf I'd presume. Basically, if people could actually play the content without relying on a hypothetical extra 15k from rockets, then there wouldn't be an issue.
