I think that people will grasp onto anything that might explain something that they don't understand, but I often wonder why people purposely ignore their inner-selves (ego, if you will) in attempt to be more like the masses? Are you truly living life if you're living to someone else's standards?

  • Are you truly living life if you ask everyone you meet why they don't live up to your standards and your potential?

  • Do you really think that it has to do with my judgment of others over my curiosity as to how their brains and emotions work together (or separately)?

  • Do you see yourself as arrogant? Do you think by questioning others and their ability to stack up to you, you become arrogant, or that you only become so if you vocalize this thought process?

  • Why do you take curiosity about other people and turn it into comparing them with one's self? How does being curious about the functioning of another person's psyche make one arrogant?

  • Does it? I think not, I do think you would agree in saying that people are arrogant when they put down others for being, as they believe, inferior, would you agree?

  • I would agree that putting down other people is arrogant and only serves to bolster that person's ego, however, do you think there's a fine line between "putting down" and simply "disagreeing with"?

  • Absolutely, but how defined do you think that line is in daily life, and how defined do you think it ought to be?

  • Do you think that line could or would ever really be defined and agreed upon?

  • How could it be, there are few situations where billions of people agree on the same thing, am I right? I was asking for your opinion, though, so where is it you believe the line ought to be drawn, and how often do you see that line crossed in daily life?

  • In real life, I rarely (personally) see that line crossed but the news and the internet are always full scribbled and erased lines, however, I think that the line changes depending on the situation, so I suppose that falls into the category of "not very defined", wouldn't you agree?

  • I would tend to agree, I say it is like the Supreme Court ruled when they were asked about vulgar language and indecency....they know it when they see it, right?
