What do you guys think about Cozmo?
Do you think he is going to be better than DeeJ or just as bad.

Edit 2: I didn't intend on offending DeeJ guys so please don't take this the wrong way. DeeJ may not communicate with us as well as I want him too but he can definitely handle a ton of cluster bombs, wolf-pack rounds, and fist of havocs and still maintain his cool.

My understanding would be that either/both of them are pretty misunderstood. Everybody gets mad that "Deej" doesn't say what the forum audience wants to hear. That's so misguided. Their job is to serve as a medium between the forum members and the management. Not much either of those guys can do if what they say to the bosses falls on deaf ears. Same for what they do or do not post; pretty sure anyone from Bungie that tries to type an honest rant would be eating gov't cheese that afternoon. The best thing to "hope" for would be a change in the personnel @ Activision such that more receptive people would end up there. And I won't hold my breath for that. Ever.

Lets be honest, real information from Bungie has been rarer than a G-horn drop. Enough hype, enough vague assurances, enough kicking the can down the road. We do not need the keys to the kingdom, however we do need to believe that the kingdom REALLY exists. Again, lets be honest. Destiny "ruled the roost" last year mainly because there was NO COMPETITION from new AAA title franchises. Well, 2015 is different. Halo 5, Fallout 4? New, established, AAA title franchise GAMES for $60. Destiny "expansion", $40. Well, the only way to decide if TTK is worth purchasing is to know what it REALLY contains for that $40. Do we know? No, because other than vague assurances and PR hype we have been told nothing. Bits and pieces over weeks at a time may sound good to Activision marketing, but mature consumers are unimpressed. Give me a reason to choose TTK! Give me a reason to buy it day one versus waiting until after I have played Halo 5 and Fallout 4!

It doesnt matter who the community manager is, its clear they dont want to give us full information, just the PR spin so it doesn't matter if they had Morgan Freeman Voicing the weekly update on a podcast it would all be the same.... On 2nd thought I would take a Morgan Freeman voiced Destiny podcast.

32 RepliesI'm sure he's a good guy...but its not really about him. Bungie knew no one respects Deej cause he doesn't really play. My guess, they added Cozmo to legitimize the community manager job. Nothing will change. The culture at Bungie hasn't changed. Expect more of the same. Zero appreciation of their current player base, price gouging, unbalanced PVP (Thorn/shotguns), weekly updates that simply advertise TTK (instead of dealing with current issues) and overall under delivering on promises made.

Lolololol this thread actually got cozmo and deej to respond. I am already loving the change in management. Deej/cozmo if you two see this just know that your little comments here make a world of difference to how people see you. I am sure it will make a positive impact on the forum to continue to do little things like that.

God forbid they actually pay the slightest attention to #SeventhColumn and #OffTopic, or even acknowledge the existence of Seventh Column-based groups like Seventh Conflux, Community Carnage, TFL, or Wayward; groups that try their hardest to add to and improve the Seventh Column, and help out wherever and whenever they can. Hopefully I'm proven wrong, but I doubt I will be. Which is a shame, as I'd love to see the Bungie Community actually be a community again. It never will be unless the company the community was made for actually starts giving a shit again.

What's his track record is all I care about. Is he gonna be as full of hot air and be as transparent as mud on a cloudy night like Deej (cuz face it, nothing really came through that didn't sound like PR crap) or is he gonna have more freedom to say things that he wants. I mean, I know it's a job and all, but certainly someone who managed the freaking Destiny subreddit can help do these sickly pale Weekly Updates some justice.
