Not really. If you never played Halo you really have no connection at all to Bungie, unless you're a fan of their earlier works like Marathon or Oni. But the people who were there with Bungie and grew attached to the company and their goal of world domination all throughout the Halo series refer to themselves as Spartans. And its the Spartans who know, better than anyone else, what Bungie is capable of and what they have truly been able to accomplish over the years. And when comparing all of their past works and how they have evolved over time, Destiny is pathetic and easily their weakest title. Someone actually found a game rating that places Oni ABOVE Destiny in the scoreboards, which is hilarious.
