It's been asked for a few times, but I'm going to ask again. A way to save progress is sorely needed for the Prison of Elders.
I'm now pushing 40, as are the guys I play with, and spare time is at a premium. Due to our slow reactions after years of abusing our bodies we aren't that good either. Twice we've made it to Skolas and both times it took us a good few hours to get there. We got in a few attempts, nearly got him once, but had to give up in the end due to other commitments. And this is the problem - we could arrange to play again tonight but we're not going to have the time - so what's the point? Doing the raids was no issue as we could tackle them in chunks - not so with the Prison.
Pls, Bungie - give us checkpoints at Skolas, otherwise we may never get our special emblem!

Nah, see your point but then it advertises checkpoint grabbing
-
I don't think they are needed but maybe just one before skolas

Now considering that 32 and 34 can be done in around half an hour and 35 in a hour, there is no need for check points

Edited by Craven112: 7/13/2015 12:46:35 PMI agree they should have save points but with limits it has to be the same 2 people you started it with no changing characters or anything like that. It locks you and your fireteam into that checkpoint.

I never understood these check point saves for the raid, to me it is some sort of cheat. Allowing a person to skip half of the raid is just plain wrong, reminds me of the lazy sods who skip out half if not more of the strikes I love to do. As for the Prison of Elders, I can agree to this what OP has suggested. Stick a check point at each wave beginning.

If that happened ppl would take advantage of it. Have guys go to the end and then get others who have not done it finish it. So I think it would not happen unless bungie could have the same 3 ppl that can only do it.

This would make it easier as life does sometimes get in the way ;)

Please, if you must call for checkpoints, call specifically for "non transferable, fireteam locked, checkpoints". A general call for checkpoints that yields results will also result in the same sort of checkpoints we have for raids. With people reaching exotic drop points and swapping checkpoints and bringing people in over and over to open chests. To me, this is a worse "cheese" than hiding behind a big rock on a nightfall, or figuring out how to bypass mechanics by skilful jumping. Let's not have this happen in PoE.

Yes should of had checkpoints from the beginning just like the raids did

Haha yes!!!
