The Crusaders load their weapons and level them toward Bellicose, who is forced away from the gate.

The Crusaders watch her ride off in silence. The Guard Captain raises his hand, and a signal officer on the wall fires a green flare. A Watcher squad hidden high up in the forest along Bellicose's path responds, preparing their gear.

[b]The Violet Lady takes notice of the flare.[/b] And to think she wants to HELP those hicks... [b]She clenches the horse with her spurless boots, riding faster.[/b] Fine, then. If they think I'm a puppet, then I'll show them my strings.

The Captain motions for the team to hold their fire. Bellicose seemed to have gotten their message: Don't try anything.

The Crusaders on the wall pause as the Watcher team records Bellicose's rant. "Did you think that was the right decision, sir?" The Guard Captain shrugs. "All I know is that my family's in the ground for work of hers, and that a little payback was in order."
