Should abortion be legal?

Personally I honestly don't have a standpoint on abortion so I really can't say. But I do think that aborting a child because it has special needs is wrong
Please don't comment unless you have watched the video
• I'm very well suited for this argument. Hi. I'm Schruef. My sister is one year younger than me and she has moderate Down's syndrome. She's changed my life in more ways than you know for good and bad but I still love her to death. Would my life be better or worse if she wasn't alive or wasn't disabled? I don't know. Because my life is about 75% her right now. Taking care of her and making sure she doesn't break everything. She ate a pipe cleaner when she was younger. The surgery cost her half of her gut. She can't digest skinned food (corn, beans) so she gets diarrhea when she eats them. The surgery was expensive. She fell out of a two story window and fractured some bones. More surgery... She breaks things, and has to eat 1.6x a much as us because she can't digest as efficiently. We didn't know she was disabled until she was born. If I was my mom would I have aborted if I knew? I do not know. Here's my point, I want to go to bed so I'll keep it generally short; Crunchy, I don't know if you do, you didn't say anything if you do, but 90% of you people don't know what it means to have a family member who is disabled. You don't. They will take your life, smash it to bits and rebuild it again just to smash it. There are lots of types of disabilities. If your child was basically brain dead? I would abort. If they had other severe disabilities? I would also abort. It's not a life worth living, and I'm dreading the day when I have to go to my sisters coffin on her 35th birthday (average lifespan for someone with Down's) because I wouldn't be able to go. I'd break down over how she's changed me for good and bad. Some families can't afford them, and the homes they go to can be abusive. You must live with them your entire life, or send them to a home. If the disability was mild? I would keep the child. I'm for abortion if the circumstances require it for a better future. But please, don't say it's selfish. Because you don't know what selfish is, until you live like me and my sister do together.
