I own both but I definitely prefer my PS4. I find that the X1 feels clunky in comparison and I'm not a huge fan of the dashboard or menu system. Game installs seem to take a lot more time on the Xbox as well. Anyone who argues graphics for either is just splitting hairs. Both systems have exclusives that look amazing and all other games that are on both consoles look pretty much identical. The backwards compatibility on The X1 is definitely a plus. I wish the PS4 would offer that as well. At the end of the day it's all a matter of opinion though. However sticking with Microsoft may be the easier route for you. The upgrade is cheaper and you're already signed up with the company. Plus you can transfer your Destiny progress over. Whichever you choose I'm sure you'll enjoy it.
