I personally would go with the xb1 if i were you. I upgraded from the 360 to the xb1 a few months ago, and i had the same concern about transferring my saved data in Destiny. Everything you have on destiny will transfer to the xb1, because the data is profile based. Just activate your gamertag on the xb1 and you should be good to go. Congrats on future fatherhood!
