I agree, I enjoy the raids and the prison. But nothing beats the feeling of going flawless for the first time.
Plus yes the golden chests are pointless. Now I have to waste my time tracking them down if I want this emblem.

The raids are pretty pointless now but the feeling of finally beating vog when it came out or soloing crota for the first time is on part with that feeling. Just guessing here but those were great feelings.

I got the golden chests on my first character as I went through the story ... They actually had some decent stuff for a low level .

This is true, but it get to a point after your first few chests the rest become obsolete due to your characters rapid level progression.
