The Aphix Invasive, Vex secret service.

Greetings all viewers, (this is a long report so you should have some spare time to read this, also prior to reading this please read AnonPig's report https://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/103902183) I am Usylepenguin. I've read AnonPig's report on the Aphix Invasive, and what a good example of their purpose he made. However on the topic of the Vex being controlled by the same mind, the mind Z, there is more to that than just Z. You see, the Vex are united under 1 mind, the Black Heart, the Black Heart controls the Vex as we know them. The Black Heart controls the Axis Minds, and the Axis minds are majors, thus they command their own troops just the same. The Axis minds are kind of like generals of various regiments. The regiments are of certain Vex united amongst any type, being like the Hezen Protective, or Hezen Corrective. However in order to further understand the Aphix Invasive, we need to delve deeper into the Vex hierarchy itself. Atheon, time's conflux. We see the Vex all united under one mind. But with Atheon, not so. Atheon's name even hints at the fact that he doesn't follow, or in Vex terms, worship the black heart. We also find Precursor Vex and Descendant Vex strewn throughout the Vault of Glass, more typically, in Atheon's room. These Vex are controlled by the Imminent mind, and the Primeval mind, those minds themselves are found as two of three bosses you have to defeat in order to defeat the Black heart. However if these two minds control Precursors and Descendants, what are some Precursors and Descendants doing in the Vault of Glass? Well they are there because they are Controlled entirely by Atheon, why is this important? Because it demonstrates the fact that certain Vex are controlled entirely by Atheon, and others are controlled by the Black Heart. The Vex inside the Vault of Glass are controlled by Atheon, and the Vex outside are controlled by the Black Heart. Now that we know that the Vex, if powerful enough, like Atheon are able to break away from the Black Heart's influence, they are able to control their own Vex too. This is the same with the Aphix Invasive. The Aphix Invasive are Vex that are simply united under a different mind from the two we know of now. The mind they are united under is not important at the moment, what is important however, is their role in Destiny. The Aphix Invasive are found on Venus, Mars, and the Vault of Glass. Their purpose there is to, perhaps, patrol the two planets, and relay information back to their leading mind. This goes on the topic of them being secret service. When we see them in public events, the public event instructs us to, "eliminate the target before it reaches its destination," this text backs up that theory, the target is trying to relay information to its leader. The Aphix Invasive are like secret services, but they do not serve any of the vex we know of, they serve their leader. With that in mind, we can also understand the purpose of the minotaur at the top of the nexus. This minotaur is thought to be a simple thing put in by Bungie to prevent cheesing, but its health is noticeably higher than any other major minotaur. This could mean that the Aphix Invasive are stronger that normal Vex. Now onto Fanatics, which have more behind them, we see Fanatics trying to explode in our faces to mark us for negation, but more importantly they are like suicide bombers. They intentionally kill themselves for the harm of their victim. This is crucial to know because it goes more into their role in the Vault of Glass, they not only take on suicidal tasks but the fanatics also possess the power to mark a Guardian for negation, just like an oracle. Fanatics are seen before and during the Templar summoning its legions. While the legions themselves are made up of only Axis Harpies, Fanatics cone out too, even though they are part of the Aphix Invasive, not part of Atheon's personal Vex. If the Fanatics are part of the Templar's legions that simply means that they are controlled by the Templar too, except for the fact that when the Templar calls for it's minotaurs they are not part of the Aphix Invasive, rather, they are part of the Hezen Protective. Since both of these types of Vex are called out by the Templar that means that the Aphix Invasive have some association with the Vault of Glass (see paragraph 5). Onto supplicants, Supplicants are controlled by Atheon himself. He is able to summon them at will, but they are part of the Aphix Invasive. This is not too strange considering that Atheon also controls Precursors and Descendants too, but the supplicant's role is much more shrouded in mystery. All we know is that they are there to, perhaps, prevent guardians from holding open the Timegates. Remember how I said that Vex are able to break away from other minds' influence, well that also should be followed by the fact that vex could possibly be able to be torn from their native mind and converted to a new one, well Atheon has done that to Precursors and Descendants. But has he also done it to the Aphix Invasive? Well the answer for that is, as of now, impossible to be answered correctly for sure, but most evidence points to no. First of all, the Aphix Invasive have much more health and attack power than regular Axis Vex, and they are rarely seen on Venus and Mars either because of their secrecy, or their lack of troops there, perhaps even the fact that they don't neet much more information of the planets. I say that because the Vex predate humanity, and the Aphix Invasive could have had a lot of time to analyze these planets prior to the golden age. But even so, they are very powerful and could perhaps even defeat Atheon themselves, and they would know if some of their troops had been intercepted by Atheon and would possibly try to take them back forcefully. But what if they were handed over to Atheon voluntarily? Well this is proven by the fact that the Aphix Invasive have not attacked the Vault of Glass already, and the fact that they fight alongside the Vault's own Vex. Maybe the Aphix invasive's ruling mind has willingly handed over some of its forces to aid Atheon, maybe they even gave Atheon absolute control of some of their Vex too. This evidence points to the fact that perhaps the Aphix Invasive may be collaborating with Atheon. Well to help this theory along even more, the Aphix Invasive has probably handed Atheon some of their Vex, Atheon kept some for himself, the Supplicants, and others for the Templar, the Fanatics. Now that we know some of the purposes of the Aphix Invasive, it is only fitting that we discuss their place of residence, the Reef. Or more specifically the Prison of Elders. Ever since the release of Expansion 2, House of Wolves, the Aphix Invasive has been seen in the Prison of Elders when fighting Vex. The Aphix Invasive are the only Vex seen in the Prison of Elders, why are they there? Because they are very powerful and must be contained. This is amazing evidence to back up how powerful they really are. The prison of elders is supposedly where all of the enemies of the Reef go, and since a prison like this would also be known to house some extremely powerful enemies it is also a home to their minions. But if the Aphix Invasive are the some of the most powerful Vex, they surely have some leaders to help them gain that standing. Qodron, Gate Lord is a Vex boss that is fought in the prison of Elders. If a player is killed by him, the Guardian down text will show that he is aligned to the Aphix Invasive. Qodron is one of, quite possibly, many Aphix Invasive Axis Minds, controlling Aphix Invasive Vex regiments. But what about the Overmind Minotaur? Well now things get a little more complicated. The Overmind Minotaur is part of the Sol Progeny which is controlled by the Black Heart. Now two more possible theories open up when we see Aphix Invasive Vex fighting alongside a Sol Progeny mind. The first theory is that they are working alongside each other to stay alive and stay out of trouble, this theory is also backed up by real-life evidence. For instance if someone was being threatened with death if they didn't support a certain cause, they probably would support it to stay alive. This is the same with the Aphix Invasive, and the Overmind Minotaur. They are both two of the most powerful Vex in Destiny so they probably would not risk starting a battle, in fear of being defeated. The second theory is that, like with Atheon, the Aphix Invasive is giving over some of their Vex to aid the Overmind Minotaur. There is not much conclusive evidence of either of these theories being true, but the answer may be theory one. Some evidence to support this is that when fighting the Sol Progeny in the final story mission of Destiny, The Black Garden, no Aphix Invasive Vex are seen, only the Sol Divisive can be found in that mission. Also, on top of that, Atheon and the Aphix Invasive are not aligned to the Black Heart. The Aphix Invasive is also shown to help Atheon (see paragraph 5) but not the Black Heart. These Vex however reside on Mercury too. They are most likely the Vex that reside in with their mind, and transformed Mercury into a machine. Just note the mass amounts of Vex architecture on Mercury. While we may never know the Aphix Invasive's ultimate purpose for the Vex, we can always infer that they could be very menacing, and be able to wage war, and win. They could also choose to hold key points for other Vex and help them in return for a reward. But until a grimoire card is available we may never know the true purpose of these Vex, this article is the closest we may ever get to understanding the Aphix Invasive.
