If you think about it we are actually DEvolving. People don't say "I have my father's good eye sight." Instead you hear, "I have my father's bad joints," and things like that. And it's been scientifically proven that mutation can never result in anything beneficial, but rather a corrupt organism.

  • To be honest, yes humans are devolving, not backwards though we are just evolving badly. We have no threats and so natural selection doesn't kick in as often as it should and we develop bad traits.

  • Natural selection and evolution are two different things. Put weak animals and strong animals of the same kind into a room and strong animals come out on top. That doesn't mean they changed. They just survived. And evolution also has never been recorded. Animals may adapt to their surroundings, but that is only a change in type, not in species entirely.

  • Evolution has been recorded, it is seen in fruit flies and maggots as well as many other animals and plants

  • Natural selection is a mechanic of evolution, the weaker die before they are able to reproduce. The stronger reproduce to make stronger offspring.
