How you raise your child is not my concern. How I raise mine, is not your concern. I have been playing violent video games since the invention of violent video games. I don't get into fistfights. I've never shot a real gun. If seeing/hearing violence causes somebody to commit violence, they have something more wrong with them... The argument that violent video games cause violence, is weak, at best. Game lobby's don't have more cursing than music downloads or movies, TV shows on cable... I make choices on what is appropriate for my children on a case by case, child by child basis. What one could handle isn't necessarily appropriate for another at the same age. Children aren't made from a cookie cutter mold. Be responsible. Be a parent. You want to protect your children, that's your right and job as a parent. I, for one, don't need you or the government telling me what is appropriate for my children.

 • Agreed, its parents job. Even myself, i seen abusive players.. Muted or remove from lists. I dont see any problems with my son, i play with him aswell. He doesnt swear, boot, anything like that. If he got problems, he would tell me straight away. I sort it out myself and deal with it. Boom, off the list.

 • Thank you! I'm the exact same. I think that video games relive stress and are a good way to let you're anger out in a controlled environment. Also they are just fun in general.

 •
damn you don't realize your child will affect others around him, don't have kids until you know yourself in relationship to creation
Explain "know yourself in relationship to creation", please. Use more than 6th grade English. What I mean by be a parent: If you teach your children right from wrong and give them a good moral compass, things like violence in video games, foul language, bullying/abusive behavior won't change their behavior or cause bad behavior. I don't need you, the OP, the government or anybody else telling me how to raise my children. You wanna come at me? Better bring more than one bad, run-on sentence.

 • And if you think teaching right from wrong is all you have to do, nope.

 • grammar -godwinslaw!- My opinion is: People shouldn't have kids, until they know who they are. Simple. One problem: 98% have no idea who they are, where we are, or what's going on in relationship to Nature. Having children before true self-awareness is what is causing most of the misery in society today. Good luck to you sir, and may infinite mind have mercy on your eternal soul.

If you can come up with an argument that actually starts off with a fact ,then I will gladly listen to what you have to say.[\quote]

 • Our society is absolutely backwards and corrupt. This is certainly based on people having children before they know themselves in relation to Infinite Intelligence. Blind faith and fear rule our earth at the moment. I'd rather not bring more confusion to the pool. Have a good one :)

I knew you could do it... I don't need you to wish me luck or anything else on my eternal soul. I hope, for the sake of your argument, that you don't have children of your own. You trying to include yourself in the 2% wouldn't make you self aware. You would only think that you are self-aware. Truly "self aware" people wouldn't waste their time on a forum for a senseless video game. They would be boycotting the Shell oil tankers. Or saving baby seals or some other more useful endeavor. Problem being, you shouldn't be in this argument if you don't have children. How could you logically speak on something you know nothing about? So, which is it? No children? Not self aware? Either way, this is not your argument. Good day to you, sir.

 • I don't need to have children to know the product of our society dude. I will not be participating in the creation of children until I do in fact, know myself. I chose you, based on the negative/fear based energy I read through your words, to share an insight that can lead to joy in your life and your children. Know thyself or your spreading more problems. And yes, I called you a grammar nàzi, it's a joke lol. much love bro, I've learned from you, hope you learned something about yourself.

 • Negative/fear based energy in my words? I'm not afraid of raising my children. I'm afraid of the people that don't raise theirs, which will force legislation to over-step their reach into my home. A large part of parenting is teaching right from wrong. Then, step by step, giving children opportunities to be responsible for themselves . After that, they get to deal with consequences (good and bad) of those choices. I actually live and deal with this on a daily basis in my home. Not to bash you, but if you don't have your own children... "I don't have time to explain why I don't have time to explain". No frame of reference makes understanding the nuances of parenting impossible. Thanks for making my afternoon go faster. I gotta go cook dinner, make sure showers, chores etc have been done.

 •
can't say näzi on here? lol
You used a word like that in reference to me or my argument? You lose points for that. If you have to resort to something like that, it doesn't help your argument, it only weakens it.
