To me, competitive gaming on PC will always take the cake.
Battlefield 2 is my all time favorite game, I used to wreck face in Helicopters and Jets, 60+ K/D rounds regularly.
As what I consider competitive FPS:
Battlefield , Call of Duty, Counter Strike, Team Fortress, Unreal Tournament, etc. etc.
