By brutal I mean it has more darker elements, DBZ feels like it should be a serious fighting show but death has no point so... I didn't like it. Ever watch Akame ga Kill? Out of the 40 people in the show who was given a name, was a character or even contributed to the story as a side character. Only 4 in the end were alive. Basically if they weren't a random character walking around in the background they died.
