Maybe that is it. I know the big guys have a really long reach too. Something else I noticed was when I do the dive bomb and press "b" to knock everyone down that doesn't give me a big advantage like it used to.

Yep. It dosent knock everybody down like it use to. What I found crazy was the armour I was wearing was bullet proof, took shotguns shells to the face, able to be ran over by big tanks (don't ask how I found that out) but my fully upgraded Melee suit could be shredded in about 4 hits by one big guy.
