What is a slanderer of logic you may ask? Well, it's somebody who brandishes the idea of logic and idolizes science. But here's the kicker, they don't actually know how to, or they are unwilling to use it. (Because often times logic will go against them.) Instead they simply worship the idea of it. But in doing so, they inhibit those who actually do utilize critical thinking to analyze and solve problems. They seek to push an agenda, not pursue the truth. If somebody challenges their image, it does not matter how sound the evidence is, the slanderer of logic will often retaliate in a vitriolic fashion, deftly evading any contradictions. If this person has a position of power, they will use it to silence their opposition, whether it's by arresting under the guise of inciting unrest, or issuing a ban under the guise of penalizing disrespect. These people slander science, they slander objective thinking with their actions, and they taint logic. So I am of the opinion that they should be quarantined.
Now why should they be quarantined? It's not a disease is it? Nope, not a disease in that it can be treated with a vaccination, but it can spread like one. There is a crude term called "circle-jerking". I'm not going to explain the origin, but what it refers to is when people of inflated ego and delusions get together and laud each other's ideas. It does not matter how silly their ideas sound, some may even know their logic is BS but they don't have the nerve to confess it because they don't want to appear weak or fallible. They don't want to be open to challenge. When people like this have that sort of support, others are afraid to take them up on their claims. Because of this, people of blithering idiocy obtain positions of power and use that power to ruin civilizations, all in the name and idea of logic, when it is anything but.
TL:DR- Should people who claim to be logical, but don't actually practice logic be quarantined?
