I disagree completely. I have a 6 year old who plays destiny. He's been playing fps's since he was 2. He is completely well adjusted has no antisocial behavior, is not violent, plays sports and has many friends and does not flinch at all at the sight of a sword (he has several and I've attacked him with them, he just fights back). As long as you talk to your kids, explain it's a game, tell him you shoot the "bad guys", tell him it's not real life and in the real world you can't do what you do in the game there is no problem. Also talking about being a sore loser and stuff like that helps. It's when parents park their kid's in front of the game and go away where you can run into problems but the same can be said for TV or life really. Kids are going to see and hear all kinds of stuff that you would rather they didn't. As long as you talk to them and explain right and wrong they will be able to handle these situations without negative impact.
