I just started playing Destiny a couple days ago and I figured a great way for me to get all the expansions and some cool stuff would be to order the collector edition of The Taken King.
Unfortunately, what they just announced means that my collector edition just lost value since anyone can easily get everything in it (besides the physical content) for much cheaper, which really devalues the entire thing.
Are they going to address this? I'll probably cancel my pre-order if they don't.

They said more is on the way. Regardless, I already purchased everything to date. I'm keeping my Physical Collectors edition because a) the physical loot, b) I can afford it c) I don't have unlimited data on my home internet, and I'm not risking a high bill when I can get everything on a hard copy disk. d) I have money.

You people will complain about anything.

Wait you mean the $20 for non-physical content?

Edited by ZombieRedPandas: 6/25/2015 2:25:36 AMIt's just $20 cheaper. Wouldn't call it "much cheaper". That $20 can account for the physical items. Edit: Also the people that this is geared towards already paid for the DLCs already. So that's $40 plus another $60 for the taken King plus the collector's edition digital content. So you're still getting everything for $20 less than someone who bought everything during year one. Not to mention there is still vanilla destiny to account for but didn't include that because you've already purchased that.
