I have never met anyone who has only ever owned ONE xbox. Its always 3-4 xboxes because of red rings or breakdowns. Haveing to send them back to be repaired or just getting new ones. I've only ever had one playstation, one ps2, one ps3, and ps4. Seems like a no brainer to me

  • I've had my xbox 360 for over 7 years and it's never had the red rings or broken.

  • It's all about operating hours and how you care for the system. My buddy has always had both systems, he keeps them in a tv stand with ZERO airflow, never cleans the vents, and keeps them powered on all the time. Both systems are getting replaced constantly. I take care of mine and as a result they both work fine, never had problems out of either.

  • Bullshit. Ps2 was the worst made console ever. That thing was so cheaply made its not even funny. Original Xbox was a tank. Now they're all pretty cheaply made unfortunately.

  • I had great luck with ps2 until we got the one of the first slim models. Between my dad, my brother, and me we put countless hours on the fat ps2. So many that we had to replace the laser three times. My dad repairs electronic equipment so he had a good idea what he was doing. Unfortunately when he went to replace it a third time he accidentally snapped the ribbon cable for it. That first slim ps2 we had was horrible. You could play for about 30 minutes before it would overheat and lock up. I own another slim ps2, but it's a much newer one and doesn't overheat.

  • I still have a 3gb 360, the only problem I have is the disk tray occasionally sticks, other than that it's great.

  • I would say that with the 360 that's not an unreasonable statement. Back in the day I got the ring of death after almost two years - took it back to where I bought it and they replaced it with an upgraded Ekite version that's still going strong today. I've experienced zero issues with my XB1 so far, and I'd like to think that it was built with plenty of learning from the previous units.

  • I still own a fully functional day one 360. Never red ringed and never repaired. The worst it has ever done is the disc tray sticks very rarely. I own more 360s than that but only because one is for my brother and I got a 360 elite on a nice Christmas. That original has been through a lot of crap so I'm amazed it has lasted.

  • I own a 360 (3rd one due to ring of death) and my day one edition xb1 has a knackered disc drive. Xbox doesn't have a good track record for me anyways. Personally, if all my friends had a PS4, I'd be buying one.

  • Still own my original Xbox and Xbox 360 that I bought. I also realize I'm the exception though and not the rule.

  • Totally agree. I won't buy XBox again because they are built like crap. Never had to replace a PS and repairs are simple.
