http://planetdestiny.com/bungie-responds-content/ Read that, a very nuanced perspective on tbh the most bias interview I've read in gaming journalism. Eurogamer journalist is a douche, he portrays mr Smith as a douche, while in fact he himself states clearly that he is willing to pay extra money to get the CE preorder bonuses himself and then going back to just incite flaming and dismay among the player community. TTK is a way forward and by the looks of it, it is almost what I feel that TDB should have been. But hey, Bungie is learning and listening. HoW is a great example of community feedback that has been really taken into account. So if you want preorder bonuses, then buy the CE version. If not, you'll get your 1 year bonuses. I don't want weapons handed to me, I will get them when I play.

All the guy did was ask questions. it was lukes responses to those questions that made people mad. On a side note I am not very upset about me not getting these exclusive items but I still of course really want them like anyone else(not worth 80$ lol bungie). I am just kinda upset that the dlc cost 40$ and the legendary edition is 60$. I get theres year one editions of games but that's REALLY cheap if you haven't bought destiny yet. All I want is for the price for the dlc alone to be lowered a little. After all, they have already cashed out on the collectors edition.

Miss the point much? EG interviewer was hammering the dude because of Bungie's decision to make veteran players who want the new collectors edition stuff re-purchase everything they already own plus the new dlc. So a brand new player paying $80 pays $20 per release level, whereas a day one player who wants the new CE stuff is at a $45 per release price point. Call it okay all you want, won't make it true.

  • You're not forced, you can buy the TTK version only. The only thing you are optioned to buy besides that is preorder bonuses. Thing is, this is my opinion on the matter. Internet and especially gamers can be so -blam!-ing judgmental and behave like self entitled spoiled brats. You're not entitled to stuff just because you played the game forever. Get over it. And secondly, that Eurogamer journalist has really picked the quotes he needs to get hits for his article and not showing anything that is not beneficial to his cause at all. Sadly imo not a display of good journalism..

  • Picking apart an interview that you claim to be the whole interview opens one up to litigation. And i did mean to say "forces veteran players who want the new CE stuff" but hey, I'm drunk.

  • Ok, but look at the other facts at hand. This inverview was published 22nd of June, and I am quite certain that it wasn't done that date. The petition for Bungie to change their versions of TTK made available came out before Eurogamers article was released. So, what are Eurogamers intentions in this? To further fuel the fires towards Bungie and Activision or to simply provide a non bias view on the situation...... Still, I think this is bad journalism, sensationalism rather than journalism.

  • I lost faith in the idea of altruism long ago. The difference being, I haven't given any money to eurogamer. And as I said, editing the contents of an interview in order to paint someone in a bad light is illegal and people get sued for it when it happens. Along that reasoning, if EG had an axe to grind, Smith gave them plenty of ammo. Acting like an arrogant ass during an interview is never ever a good idea. Personally I hope this causes massive damage to Bungie.
