Just Played in the Crucible for the First Time and...

It was completely unenjoyable. But for difference reasons than MY RANT ABOUT VoG. I'm really bad at PvP. I always have been. That's not the games fault or the other player's faults. I was bad at PvP way back in the days of Hale:CE. Let me preface this by saying that I am delving into PvP strictly for the purpose of attempting to complete some Exotic Bounties, Bad Juju and Thorn, specifically. Bad Juju is going okay but I feel like Thorn is going to be a nightmare for me. I wouldn't play PVP otherwise. I tried some smaller maps and got my ass handed to me. I tried some bigger maps and got my ass handed to me. The bigger maps did allow me to hide more and snipe but I'm just really bad. I've got Up the Ante with explosive rounds but it doesn't matter. I tried my "old faithful" go to gun Another NITC with sniper range and firefly and it's completely ineffective in my hands. Suros was useless for me. Red Death only ended in my death. I did notice some internet issues, but nothing like I've been reading. There's not a lot of teamwork from what I've noticed. I've been shot at while a teammate stood right there and then ran off. Not bitching, just an observation. Overall, not an enjoyable experience at all, but mostly because I suck at it. The rewards were alright considering it's just PvP. I'm dreading doing the crucible part of the Thorn bounty. TL;DR - My first experience with PvP was horrible but mostly because I suck at it. EDIT: Link fixed

 • How's that feedback to the game? It's just some personal experience where you got your ass handed. Of course you suck (and so did I) when you first enter the crucible because half of it is knowing the maps so that you know where not to run without cover and stepping into the snipers trap. It's different to PVE and I still remember my first game on Firebase Delphi where I got killed like twenty times and probably killed one by coincidence. And yet I managed to get a positive KD at least in Control. Just don't care about dying, learn from your mistakes. Regards A 45 year old gaming veteran new to FPS PVP with Destiny.
