[Murph, a bit stunned by the explosion] "75% charged... Cmon...."
*his suit tendrils begin to glow blue*
*Minerva watches the shadow pass by and jumps out of cover, following it through the next portal*
[Minerva] "You think you can outrun me? Hahahaha!!"

[b]As she enters the portal, she comes out of the other side, perplexed. The place is an exact copy of the City, but slightly different. There are two Suns. The sky is cloudless and orange. Smaller objects float upwards, away from the ground. And the portals are everywhere. Blurs dart between the portals, some too fast to even register properly, others are slow enough to observe. Slow enough to observe that these definitely aren't just blurs.[/b]

[Minerva] "What... Is this..?" *She observes some of the portals around her* *on comms* "Murph, you need to see this." [Murph, on comms] "Minerva! Get back here now! The EMP is ready!" [Minerva] "but... Rghh fine." *she leaps back through and Murph activates the EMP* *Murph's suit tendrils spray EMP waves at the portals, they begin to close and distort*

[b]The blue lights begin glowing red and expand, almost as if something— or some[i]one[/i]— is forcing them back open. A guttural, metallic roar echoes throughout the streets.[/b]

[Rebel] "Sir! I've spotted the cave with the supplies!" [Murph, still trying to close the portals] "Go get them and get out of here! Minerva and I will finish off these portals." [Squad Leader Alpha] "Yessir." *Minerva and I watch the portals as I continue to suppress their size, fearfully wondering what is making the noise*

[b]The portals force themselves open again, merging into a single gate and expanding. As you continue suppression, you hear massive explosions from the cave as it begins collapsing.[/b]

[Murph] "Oh no." [Minerva] "I'll go. Hold it off as long as you can... Whatever it is. Just... Don't get yourself killed alright?" *As Minerva dashes off towards the cave, Murph spins up his guns and sentry turrets begin to digistruct around him, the name [i]Martha[/i] painted on their sides* *each turret has rocket pods, minigun barrels, and shield generators*

[b]The cave is completely collapsed in. Shells of thermite explosives litter the area... It was a trap. The gate grows, and a figure is stepping through, the ground shaking.[/b]

*Murph opens fire on the figure*
