The Forerunners who survived Halo and went on the Great Journey held a trial for Mendicant Bias' crimes against the Forerunners. He was sentenced to entombment on the Ark with his processes locked on a single thought: atonement. And based on his actions prior to the Covenant, and his messages to Chief, he's no longer a threat to the Forerunners or galaxy.
