It was originally supposed to have the perk that the purifier robes has (moved its old ways from the head-helmet-to the body-chestpiece) and it took away the ability to give back light but now it provides armor (life) and the tracking scatter bomb which is the dual purpose it serves. Also, now instead of giving life in self res, it provides an easier way to kill via tracking scatter bombs.
