Edit: how do you feel about everything now that they have finally released their weekly update?
Personally I like what they did for the digital items people were complaining about but still find the lack of a way to buy TTK CE with physical items and not rebuy the game kind of disheartening. (Or at least a mention about fixing this for future releases since I understand at this point the physical items are pretty much sold out)
-As for the price being $20 I think this is the highest price they saw on posts like this and just went with it. (All the people saying $60 would be fine for the DLC and the in-game items as a package price)
Quote from bungie:
BUNGIE TTK director "I could put that emote on the screen and you would throw money at it."
And you all still just let them do this shit by buying stuff without fighting for us to not get ripped off.
Edit: as point out below Bungie has finally acknowledge this mistake!! Skip to 7:30 in the video.

So looking at all the options for taken king I'm curious where the hell our version is.
God knows I'm not paying $79.99 just because you made the only version that has the 3 class items, 3 shaders, sparrow, bonus Xp, early access weps, emotos, collectables include the game and all previous dlc.
So where is our option? As someone who paid for your season pass, and played since alpha who obviously already has your game and dlc.
Aka a option that just has the dlc, the xp boost, the 3x of everything, early access weps, new emotos, and the sparrow.
&
An Option for the above plus the collectors items for digital downloaders. (EDIT#5 more clarification on options wanted)
Edit: AND your "thank you for being loyal" 1 year stuff can be gained easily by anyone who buys the $80 version? Are you joking...?
Stop being little -blam!- boys to Activision bungie and support your community like you used to with halo.
Looks like our only options are buy it without any rewards and just get the dlc, or drop way too much money to get money gouged buy what we already have. Completely pathetic money grabbing move by you.
EDIT: I understand (unlike a lot of people) that the game goes down in price. I'm not arguing about your price I'm pointing out that you don't have a bloody option for those of us who want all the perks and already gave you about $90 in the first place and don't want to rebuy the game.
Edit: shout out to all the people who comment about the catchy title and what they think a season pass is but don't actually read the post to see that's not what this is about. #stopthedumbz
Broke 1000 replies ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

The year one stuff can be obtained just by buying the standalone option
-
Your post is already a complete fail just by the title. There is no Season Pass for Destiny. There was an Expansion pass that included 2 specific expansions, The Dark Below and House of Wolves.
-
Bungie knows about this and might be fixing it....depends on how money hungry they are
-
Totally agree man
-
The season pass clearly states ot was for the first two DLC packages. I really don't feel they owe us any options. The option for us loyal people is the veteran awarda. The xp boost cloak only works till lvl 20 from what I hear anyway.
-
Agreed. I've seen a lot of posts about this too, I just hope they listen.
-
If i buy the digital collectors edition should i downloa destiny to use the Dlc's or can i just pause it and use my disk?
-
Just another shady move by them
-
I'm going to upgrade this Holliday season so I've already purchased the collector edition, I needed it so my opinion in this discussion is invalid.
-
Okaaay, so we're -blam!- boys and unsupportive of jerks like you because some of us don't care about the xp armour etc...sure that makes sense.
-
If you are an actual contributing member of society this should be the last thing your -blam!-ing worried about. I cry myself to sleep every payday when I see the amount of taxes that come out of my check to support lazy bitch ass -blam!-s that live on welfare.at least I can waist my money on a game and get something out of it.
-
The season pass listed two things... not everything
-
Does anyone one know if we do buy the edition will the data from our old characters will get transferred or not
-
I'm too tired to express my disappointment
-
Didn't read it
-
Here's what I think bungie has in mind for the Collector's Edition. You buy the CE then give the extra codes to a friend. Your friend will most likely buy the TTK expansion pack therefore more money for Bungie.

Edited by junniiaa23: 6/19/2015 6:47:47 PMI just want the emotes
-
Bump . Other games actually reward season pass owners , the best example being battlefield 4: you get 12 golden battle packs , exclusive items , 2 weeks early access to all DLC's, all DLC's in general ( this deal was great because season pass = $60 , all DLC's= $75), weekly double xp events , and priority positions in server queues.
-
Why not buy it, keep the good stuff and just sell the game+ first 2 dlcs on Craigslist for $40-50?
-
What are the options and ways to get taken king
-
It's a clear rip off the way they doing us..I'm not going to say I will not get the dlc, but I will not pre order it..
-
I don't know. It's usually the case that season passes cover all the game's future DLC and expansions, but whatever.
-
Bungie needs to hurry up before September to give us a far better choice :(
-
Preach it brotha

Edited by TeKnoVKNG23: 6/18/2015 6:13:06 PMI'll be playing SWTOR instead, the new expansion is FREE for all subscribers. My cost to play Destiny for 1 year with very limited repetitive content - $140 for base game and expansion pass + Taken King My cost to play SWTOR for the last year with an amazing amount of content - Game was F2P, spent about $20 on cartel coins to unlock some quick bars and basic features. $20 for the Revan Expansion which added in 2 new planets, a ton of PVE/PVP content, new expansive and immersive story quests and several end game raid/flashpoints/dungeons. I eventually picked up a sub to support the game at $12.99 a month and that was back in December so 7 X 12.99 = $90.93 cents. They constantly update the game with free patches and support, listen to the community, and have all kinds of extra player features. I have a ship that I can walk around in, with a vault to store items, receive mail, there is an on-rails arcade style space shooter with my ship, or I can play Starfighter PVP with ship to ship combat and dogfights. Oh and I get the new Warlock subclass for free, it's called Sith Sorcerer and I can use lightning as my primary, don't have to wait for it to charge. So I've paid approximately the same amount of money for two different games, one that has a boat load more content and a developer that continually updates and adds content to the game, and is giving away the next major story expansion for Free along with several goodies like a speeder, cosmetic items, etc. as long as you are subbing to the game a month or two before the expansion comes out, not if you just buy some silly collectors editions. It is amazing how Activision has surpassed EA easily as the worst publisher in the business with their really shady business practices and money grubbing from Destiny. You can't even check out TTK's new features and subclass without them having a huge icon on the screen to go buy a new subclass t-shirt, lol. So that is why I'm putting Destiny away for a bit. If the Taken King somehow deliveres on what was promised back in 2013 and gets rave reviews, maybe I'll check it out, but I'm done at this point giving Bungie/Activision anymore money based on the 3 prior trailers/vidocs we got for Destiny and what was delivered in terms of the content. Some of you never learn, seeing a fancy trailer and a vidoc and thinking all is going to be right with Destiny, lol.

The should just give the first, second, and third dlc to the noobies for and give all the goodies to people who got the game day 1 and played the beta! Just saying bungie.
