Edit: how do you feel about everything now that they have finally released their weekly update?
Personally I like what they did for the digital items people were complaining about but still find the lack of a way to buy TTK CE with physical items and not rebuy the game kind of disheartening. (Or at least a mention about fixing this for future releases since I understand at this point the physical items are pretty much sold out)
-As for the price being $20 I think this is the highest price they saw on posts like this and just went with it. (All the people saying $60 would be fine for the DLC and the in-game items as a package price)

So looking at all the options for taken king I'm curious where the hell our version is.
God knows I'm not paying $79.99 just because you made the only version that has the 3 class items, 3 shaders, sparrow, bonus Xp, early access weps, emotos, collectables include the game and all previous dlc.
So where is our option? As someone who paid for your season pass, and played since alpha who obviously already has your game and dlc.
Aka a option that just has the dlc, the xp boost, the 3x of everything, early access weps, new emotos, and the sparrow.

Looks like our only options are buy it without any rewards and just get the dlc, or drop way too much money to get money gouged buy what we already have. Completely pathetic money grabbing move by you.
EDIT: I understand (unlike a lot of people) that the game goes down in price. I'm not arguing about your price I'm pointing out that you don't have a bloody option for those of us who want all the perks and already gave you about $90 in the first place and don't want to rebuy the game.

What is this #Bungie ? I paid $60, well actually almost $500, because I bought the white edition PS4 that came with Destiny, but let's just say it was $60 for the game, then I paid $35 for the the season pass that gave me the first two expansions, so $100 in total for the game and 2 expansions, and now you're releasing another Destiny game, with all the DLC for $79.99 (Digital)? The Taken King is $40, Dark Below is $20 and House of Wolves is $20 so that's $80 in just DLC, the game is $60, so $140 is what we since day 1 will have to pay, but if you buy this new Destiny game, not only do you get a great deal, because you save around 43% (Digital), but you also get exclusive Exotic Class Items (3 exotic class items) that give you extra XP, 3, not 1, but 3 shaders, and 3 class emotes, but we that have to pay for everything separate, we that have been with #Bungie since day 1, get screwed over this bad? And by that I mean, that all we get is one shader that probably is going to look horrible, since y'all didn't even bother with the House of Wolves Expansion shaders, one sparrow that is really nothing special at all, it's just for show like the ships, and one emblem that already looks bad, just for show. How's this fair at all? And that's not all, if you buy the physical copy, it is $59.99, which saves you a outrageous amount of 58%, but it does not come with the extra swag, again, how is this any fair at all? This community is way too entitled. Do I wish we got a little something extra? Yes. But this is in no way a betrayal of biblical proportions that a lot of members of this community are making it out to be. if you want to collect everything, go play pokemon, if you want pvp with no over the top guns go play cod. If you want to put up extra money for all the collectors stuff, have at it, nobody will judge you. I'll be happy with my 40$ expansion, along with a lot of the silent minority of the community.

They say new emotes. Nothing says they will be exclusive. This means emotes like dancing and stuff can probably be changed or bought in the new DLC, and maybe the ones the Kinderguardians get we can buy also. Logic.

1 ReplyImagine this. New players who buy that $80 dollar copy, they get to fight through 30 xp levels. Level up 60 bubble to fully max out their characters before they can use the new sub classes. Where as us who let's say pay the $40 for just the regular dlc only have to level up 10 xp levels and 30 bubbles for new subclass. Im not really giving a shit about those emotes and special little things for future kinderguardians.

2 RepliesSpecial expansion pass edition. You purchase the digital ttk version for 20 or 30 dollars, you get the expansion, the emotes, shaders, and class items. You can only purchase this version if you have the expansion pass or bought the other 2 dlcs separately.

Hopefully bungie will realize their mistake. The issue is that they want to charge $60 for the complete game; they just call it $40 plus $20 for two expansions, and the digital collectors edition adds an additional $20 worth of fluff. At this pricing model, this expansion should have a new season pass - not rebundled content updates. Furthermore, those of us who already have the expansions, can only get the fluff items by buying both expansions a second time. In all fairness, one could argue that those of us who paid for content twice should somehow be retroactively compensated. In game items are an easy fix. Make emblems for the idiots like me who overpaid for a second purchase of both expansions, and put lollipops, toolboxes, or earmuffs on them. If Bungie ignores this, then I predict that many day one players like myself will abort this train wreck once we've beaten whatever tired/recycled pve content is released in ttk, and star wars battlefront drops. Will the content included with ttk justify the price increase or will the destiny franchise go down in flames as a case study of how NOT to treat a loyal fan base? Time will tell. Until then, here I'll be wondering how many more awful decisions bungie's leadership can possibly make regarding this "one little engine that could."

1 ReplyI'm not a day one player, I started at the beginning of january. And I feel let down about it too. The only thing I really want is the exotic class items. I have bought all 3 dlcs thus far separately I didn't buy the season pass because I'm stupid but thats beside the point. I hope bungie gives people who have been loyal a little something. In my opinion we should get all the exotic class items Shader sparrow 2 months before the dlc drops for free.
