I cant quite match the middle section up to it. But the opposite of what gave you life from death, could be the opposite of a ghost, but could also be literal. Instead it could be take life from the living (aka a weapon). Dual precise meanings could mean the arc/solar dual burns

A gun cant move by itself can it? Im sure what it refers to means something else

Or that the life inside the gun is trapped

the middle bit could be that you need an interim to switch it from one element to the other.
