Thanks to all you people who bitched about it in Crucible, now yet another Hunter exotic (one I've been using since before Crota's End for this ability in PvE), is now even MORE completely useless and will force me to go back to a crappy helm. Can you guess the exotic? You got it right..
Young Ahamkara's Spine is now useless. It is my favorite looking Hunter exotic and ever since I found this "exploit" for fast supers in PvE. Destiny has become a super fun game because hunters now had some like the Bad Juju and Obsidian Mind combo and it was very entertaining to explore with it.
Now though, it's useless. And once more I have to use a dumb ass looking exotic helmet because those are the only "useful" (not really) hunter exotics out there now days.
It's been great Young Ahamkara's Spine, but you have been nerfed into the ground and have lost any sense of use.

Dude. I'm sorry that happened. I really am. But point the finger in the right place. I saw more swarm grenades in an evening last weekend than I did in a whole week of getting two characters to rank 5 on iron banner I'm not exaggerating So if you're bungie you have to weigh the possibilities Leave it as is and have the potential to completely break the game Or put in a fix that nerfs everyone equally. Titans got just as screwed if not more so You know how many lightning grenade double and triple downs I have? Now I only get credit for one of those kills But before the fix Titans could not abuse the perk. Only hunters with swarm grenade could. Yet all 3 classes had a perk nuked So bungie leveled the playing field If you want to be pissed, be pissed at your fellow hunters

Edit: To take it even further for a reason to have kept it for PvE which I did this with my warlock friends.. if I had my super already but my warlock novabombing friend just used his, I would just throw my swarm and let him use his scatter on it to blow them up because it worked like that too in PvE. He would use his quintessence perk. So Hunters could actaully help their friends get their supers and be a support class. No longer.

My guess is this is a hot fix. I bet that fixing the swarm grenade is way more complicated than doing what they did so they put this in place for now and then will figure out how to make swarm grenade work like all the other grenades did. Then change it back Just a guess but I bet it's a good one

This better be temporary, I agree that it should have been nerfed bit only in PvP.

You realize that this isn't even close to the same thing as Obsidian Mind, right?

Obsidian Mind and Bad Juju was more situationally but in the right area, the warlock one was more potent. This Hunter one should of been kept alive in PvE.

It's really depressing. I never even stacked, I just used that exotic with the cool fear eater helm. Now I have to use Achloyiophage..
