EDIT: Structure. Who/What am I? How many times have I been wiped? You will dream of teeth, and nothing else. I link together to control destruction, to create and channel the indirect non-creation. Once I am confronted, it will turn. Its own kind has made me Instruments of its torture. It is not I that threaten you, but it is my absence that will surely provoke. But at the very least, I am here. Yes, surely, you have sealed yourself in its Liberation. And when the wholly battle cry is uttered, your master will solemnly nod, for I have exacted its doom. I assume this is the way this poem is set out. I'll leave this here for now and reply to it when I can actually look at it. E2: Split the Riddle into 3 stanzas. Stanza 1 and 2 are clearly linked and Stanza 3 shows a turn of tide. Stanza 1 and 2 leads one to believe that the topic is if The Darkness. The first line makes the Speaker seem immortal while also multiple (use of pluralisations and multiple deaths). The link together could be The Darkness - various enemy types within Darkness. Stanza 2 introduces "it". It is the Light. The Light has started a war with The Darkness, which is why Light had made Darkness into instruments of torture; and equally Darkness had made Light into instruments of torture. Stanza 3 changes suit completely. I'll read over it and return later on. E3: The first line of Stanza 3 reinforces the idea that the Light sparked the war with The Darkness. The speaker says that themselves does not threaten you ("you being a new person - ambiguous). The second and third lines show that The Darkness (the speaker) is not at fault - They say that Speaker does not provoke, but when his/her leadership is not present (its "absense") that is what provokes battles. This links to the previous idea that he/she was forced to turn into "instruments of its torture", like the Light has put the Speaker in an evil, but nonexistant light E4: The last few lines are about The Traveler. That's relatively obvious so I'll leave it out. The last line is more interesting. Although previous, the speaker has advertised its innocence, now it says that it has dark intentions - exacting The Traveler's doom. It must be a weapon of the Darkness, which in the past had been set in peaceful intentions, but over time has grown angry with the Light, and now is set to destroy it at its heart (the traveler).
