Meh, I just thought of the wiping and chaining for the mytho, as it's mechanism and description repeat and link together, and the shield for it indirectly controlling destruction, and it's absence causing issues. Mostly guessing, really. The voidfang part is a screwball, maybe points to a warlock, like Toland or Osiris. Heck, maybe it's kabr. Still working on it.
