I agree that Thorn isn't necessarily overpowered, but only because there are weapons of comparable power level. I, for example, preferred using the Vex up until the recent patch that severely impacted its accuracy. Coupled with the occasional charging glitch, I now feel the Vex is nigh unusable, especially in a format as demanding as Trials. It's only when comparably powered weapons get hit with the nerf bat that Thorn begins feeling more powerful than it is. I know several Vex users (and pretty much everyone who used AR's) have had to pick up a different weapon as of late, and this has increased the number of Thorn users. (I have opted for The Last Word, as I'm awful with Thorn.) The Thorn is great, but not OP as long as it's kept in check by other great weapons. (Bring the Vex back! - and ARs!)
