Destiny has been dead for a while... look at the numbers for PoE...
378,000 people
378,000...
Let's put that number in perspective, If everyone has run PoE just 2 times, that leaves 189,000 people still playing destiny. Don't give me that, "Well a lot of people play crucible too" bull or "Not everyone runs end game." I crunched numbers when they released the new crucible numbers and came to nearly the same number. If you're not doing end game I don't know what the fcuk you play for. Now, even if I separate PvE and PvP that leaves 378,000 people playing destiny.

That's actually giving destiny a break, I highly doubt that people playing PvE don't touch PvP and vice versa so that number is probably much lower.
Let's take a deep breath and remember that there are 17 million registered accounts.

That doesn't include the people who played but didn't finish, so with those people we can safely double that number. 1,134,000 x2.. that's 2,268,000. Now that's just on people who've played the 35 run completing it or not. Now let's just say there's 100,000 haven't done any of the 32 and up runs. We know there's probably that many if not 3x that many just because of all the complaints of no matchmaking so they can do what they paid for. Need I go on?. Your point was stupid and not even well thought out.

One million people out of 17 million active population is a lot in my opinion. CoD barely has 3 million at a time, and its' population is dwindling.

In business terms for the video game industry, 1mil people playing out of 17mil copies sold is -blam!-ing abysmal. This entire industry [b][i]thrives on[/i][/b] high player retention for each game. High player retention means all-but guaranteed profits. If the player count dips too low, company's start thinking about pulling the plug if there's no obvious turn-around in sight. Now that the "season pass" has expired, how many people do you think will be back in September to give Bungie more money? I know I won't be one of them.

Kind of like how CoD has been dying since CoD:MW2 yet it still sells metric tons. And even on a good day, the most people I've ever seen online playing Blops 2 (according to in game count) was roughly 240,000. A little short of the millions of copies sold, don't ya think?

Blops 2 is where most of the community still play cause Ghosts and AW sucked balls. If anything Destiny has a bigger player base than AW. Also, calm your titties :3

This game is a year old. Sorry but that isn't new and unfortunately I have to kind of agree to an extent. Less original players are still here and more new players have emerged to make up the difference slightly but this game is hardly as popular as it once was but hardly dead too. Summer is nigh and it will die down a bit due to people actually enjoying some sun and fun. But when the night arises, my beer in one hand and my controller in the other..... yeah Destiny is my flavor for now.
