I read this post and I see a lot of ad hominem, anecdotal evidence (which even from articles is still anecdotal and thus not evidence), and just forgetting basic social psychology of competition. And that is: People have and always will follow Occam's Razor in any competitive vacuum. They will use whatever generates the least amount of effort for the maximum possible reward. And that cognitive miser mentality will go towards any competition, thus singling out a consistent set of tools to play with. It's inevitable. Those of you who put away your thorns and use things like No Land Beyond to try and do well(and from what I've read, to success) in Crucible are ahead of that mentality, and want a challenge. But regardless, anyone who's arguing "facts" are really arguing very strong but veiled opinions.
OPINION: I feel bad if I can get someone from halfway across the map with Thorn because of Send It. But that's just me.
