There is no way in hell I'm paying £40 for an expansion.
I was never on the hype train for lack of content but seriously, have they really come up with and developed a new set of sub classes, a new enemy class, a new raid boss and everything else besides that in ONE year.
This game has been in dev for a very very long time and the fact that we have to pay such a steep price for it is insulting.
Make the price of the expansion £10 for those who bought the limited editions of the game/season pass etc. And for those that didn't make it £20.
I blame Activision for this, not Bungie. I can imagine a lot of the dev team would have loved to of pushed this material straight through to the community.
Alas, we are being played for fools once again.
EDIT: I like that this has caused a good discussion. Some are saying that £40/$40 for the dlc is fair price considering the cost to play time ratio and that they wouldn't mind paying it again.
Others are stating that the price is pocket change. I saw somewhere where one player said minimum wage is around $15 per hour. That's actually incredible. The point is that for those who are on less than that will struggle. For instance I'm 22 and only get £6.51 an hour so you can see the issue.
And others feel that we are owed this content. Which is tricky as we don't have the evidence to support it.
EDIT: for those confused as to the wage I'm on im a student in final year working part time to fund my university degree. I'm 22 as well.

I could go out to a movie. I could go out for a nice dinner. I could go out for a night of drinks. Hell, I could buy ingredients for a nice roast dinner with dessert. All of these things can get pretty pricey. All of these things give a night's worth of entertainment, if that. Meanwhile, I could buy the Destiny DLC and get many, many nights worth of entertaimment. Hell, even just a week's worth would more than justify the cost when weighed against other things that I could spend some spare money on. If you can't afford a Destiny DLC, or hell any singular DLC for that matter, you may need to consider what else you're actually spending your money on. Hell, don't buy a coffee for your morning lectures for a week. Saving $40 isn't hard.
