I have effectively completed IB with all 3 characters and I have to say; Thorn was frustrating. My first two characters I didn't use it because I wanted to prove I didn't need it to win. I was correct I didn't. However I did find it was very easy to use and gain easy kills in most situations. I just feel like the class handcannons were more close counter situation tools, but Thorn gives a mediocre player, myself, a chance to score easy kills from a distance. I feel that contradicts the play style to which the handcannon class represents. I do not feel that a nerf should be placed on Thorn in any part other than its effective range to help curve some of the "unfair" advantages to this weapon.
Overall my IB was good yet frustrating due to this participant weapon. It is not, in my opinion, an "OP" weapon though. Just another bump that needs fine tuned in a somewhat long road that is Destiny. 😊

Fair assessment, thank you :)

I just hope this helps in Bungie's future decision on what will happen to this gun.

I have no problem with weapon tuning. If they want to adjust damage fall off at distance, stability, etc like they did Fusion Rifles, I can live with that. It's the overall damage nerfs that kill this game. Thorns damage is fine. It's DoT is fine. Don't ruin that for people like they did ARs.

Agreed. May ARs R. I. P. 😱
