The taken king new race
Let's talk about the taken. This is the race that Oryx belongs to and probably the masters of the hive. And I'd he willing to be these ships belong to them. Why? Well in early art release there was a banner showing all 4 of the enemy races. Fallen, hive, cabal, vex AND another. And I would he willing to bet these ships belong to them.

Oryx is a celestial entity or some kind of god without a physical body living somewhere in the dimension from where Hive and the darkness originated. The "Taken" might trully be the actual name of a new race that worships Oryx as their god, but I personally think that those ships are early concept art for Vex ships. What makes me wonder are the lights along the ships that look like windows and I dont think the Vex would need windows lol. So those trully might be ships belonging to a humainod species. Then again what is the planet in the background? That cant be Mars bcoz those ships are clearly in some sort of atmosphere coz of the cluds, but on a second look it almost apears as if those clouds are "around" that planetoid object. Sadly I still think that its an old concept art that got dumped like many other ones. For now atleast in Destiny 1. Ive seen some cool stuff in the Destiny artbook.
