First off, not a teenager. Also, I am part of the 6 figure club albeit just barely. You are right that it doesn't take much to turn 50k into 100k if you know what you are doing and yes, some people choose to think that a million dollars is enough to retire on. Which, i guess you could if you get 5-6% interest and can live off of 50-60k every year but most people don't think like that.
If you want to get into a conversation about economics and investing strategies I would be more than happy to do so with you buddy. You can continue also thinking I am a child but I am 35 with a mortgage wife and kid on the way. All I am simply stating is that you are a douchebag for assuming that any streamer has no chane of making money beyond streaming. Maybe they will, maybe they won't. It's just very disrespectful to assume.
Also, who the F ever said it won't get better than the 360? Incredibly ignorant post my friend. Just like "history always repeats itself" you should also know that technology always gets better. i am not sure if you are just bored or stupid but I am sure you can imagine which side I am guessing.

Edited by raj: 6/8/2015 5:35:13 PMHow can you say history doesn't repeat, and then claim to be in your 30's? I officially think you're full of shit, sorry about that, but the 30 years old in my life have a bit more common sense than you, friend. Of course technology always gets better, but has the uses for that better technology changed? From a consumer standpoint... Forgive me if I'm wrong, but game consoles have been game consoles since the beginning, and people have been using those to game since the beginning. Weapons are getting more advanced, but they are still used to kill/hurt. Cars are becoming more and more automated, but they are still used to get around..just like the beginning. We have Netflix, Hulu, amazon streaming, but we still use it to watch t.v just like the beginning...sensing a pattern here? Streamers, wether you like it or not, are on the same time line as the t.v antenna is, people are going to move on, its only natural. So unless these streamers are going to college, or building a business, or even learning to invest from an e.how article, they are eventually going to go broke. Once again I'll point to my example of the uneducated lottery winner. Yeah I'm assuming they aren't doing any of those things, but given the evidence, and the way they carry and represent themselves, I think its a pretty damned educated guess. Yes we're constantly evolving our technology, but the ways to use them haven't changed, at least from a consumer standpoint right? You can assume I'm stupid all you want, but I'm only 26 and I've been making 6 figures for 3 years doing what I love, extracting, for all the places in the state that need it, and for my own personal enjoyment. And I'm starting another high end glass website. So yeah, you're right, I am a gigantic douche who has no empathy or sympathy for a lot of things, but it comes from experience. And yeah, 5 years ago, there were multiple opinion articles in the gaming magazines I subscribed to back then asking the question "have we reached our gaming peak?" And so far, they have been right about that too, yeah we have consoles that can put out amazing graphics, but we're still playing the same FPS's and remasters, aren't we? I'm sorry but System Shock did the FPS/RPG years ago. Plus the PC has been outperforming consoles in the graphics department since day 1. My freaking laptop has a better graphics card than both consoles!

Edited by Raymonator: 6/8/2015 5:54:23 PMYou can assume my age all you want. I have no reason to lie about it. I agree with with most of what you say btw. Just a bit short sighted to assume streamers will come and go. Yeah, most will but some may prevail. Twitch may also come and go and people may not always make money doing so but as long as people are playing games and people want to watch them then there will be streamers. I don't think game streaming as a whole is going anywhere anytime soon and as bandwidth increases across the world it will only get stronger. the top streamers we see now are just the tip of the iceberg as this new technology is still in its infancy. A new generation will come that will likely take it to the next level. Or maybe now, we shall see. Also, I never said history doesn't repeat itself. You are right that the games themselves havent changed much but that is just part of the big picture. The technology around the games has drastically improved since last generation. Streaming out of the console is one, remote play wether it's through the Vita or letting someone else play on your console is a big one, DVR technology to record game clips and screenshots right out of the console is big and love it or hate it, I love snapping TV/Netflix while playing on X1. It's THOSE kinds of things that continue to improve every generation beyond just graphics. I personally think graphics are over rated and cost too much time and resources when it could be spent taking games to new levels rather than just eye candy.
