Amen brother I had a similar post elsewhere. Destiny is probably, no, I know it's my favorite shooter of all time. ( Yes the story is crap ) and its because of the reasons you mentioned, how we can take whatever it is we were fortunate to get in pve and use those tools in pvp. I love the simple rpg aspects that Bungie has sprinkled into the game. Not to deep or complex to ward off the average gamer but just nuanced enough to allow for some really interesting possibilities in regards to how you want to compliment your playstyle. And here we have all these people trying to make everything basically equal. If you want all things being equal go play COD or Battlefield or Halo. Why have different weapon tiers at all? I'm not gonna lie I've been killed by Thorn plenty of times. Red Death, Vex TLW you name it Ive been killed by it. Doesn't mean I want what makes them unique to be taken away. What's the point then in trying to acquire these exotics if they're no better then common or rare weaponry. And like the OP said its not the weapon that kills it's the Guardian who is wielding it.
