But you could say it about anything? I play guitar also "you're sitting on your ass playing guitar, kids are out there fighting cancer."
There are also millions starving in Africa, there are also millions of oppressed people in North Korea and other countries that have never heard of a Ps4 let alone played one. There are tens of thousands of people around the world lying maimed from real life warfare.
What I'm trying to say is what would you like these people to do about the situation? There's usually always someone worse off than you, it's just life.

Yes but the money could go towards aiding those causes, instead of blindly throwing it at gamers.

That money could have potentially saved someone's life, is your game more important than that? What about the last time you went to the cinema? You could have donated that? The phone/laptop/tablet you are typing on? Jeez that's a lot of money to waste when people around the world are dying...

Do you prefer it when idiots throw money at political parties? What about a professional athlete making millions to play a kids game. To each their own...people need to make bank however they choose.
